Russell Fenton is the Director of Development for CapRock Partners where he manages, implements, and completes all development and construction activities for the Southern California operation. His efforts include working closely with government officials, consultants and contractors on all ground up construction projects as well as overseeing all tenant improvements throughout the company’s portfolio.
Prior to joining the CapRock team, Russell held development & construction related roles in Orange County. Most recently, he worked at R.D. Olson Development as the Development Manager for the Paséa Hotel & Spa in Huntington Beach. Prior to R.D. Olson, he facilitated the build-out of various tenant spaces in office, tech, and industrial projects as a Senior Construction Manager for The Irvine Company.
Early in Russell’s career, he worked for The Walt Disney Company as a Project Manager where he managed multi-discipline teams to complete a variety of projects throughout Disneyland. Notable projects include: Disney’s 60th Anniversary Castle Renovation, Ariel’s Grotto Restaurant Rehab, and resortwide upgrades to the safety protection program.
Aside from his civilian experience, Russell served as an Army Officer for six years achieving the rank of Captain. Russell served in Afghanistan in 2012 leading over 500 engineers on the largest troop construction effort of the Afghanistan conflict where he and his men completed the construction/ expansion of nine combat bases in the Ghanzi Province in support of the 82nd Airborne. Russell was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his actions.
Russell received his MBA from University of California at Irvine and earned his Civil Engineering and Military Science from Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo where he was an Army Cadet, President of his honor society, and an elected student government officer. Russell is a registered professional engineer (civil) in the State of California.
